Novel Writing

• Using the pen name "Embee," Stegner self-published her first novel, Tess Embers, as an 8th grader. Her second novel, When Winters Cross, was released about a year later. In the summer of 2015, The Bug Zapper was released, a result of NaNoWriMo. Stegner has been interviewed by local TV stations, newspapers, and radio shows. She has also hosted book signings, given presentations to libraries and classrooms, and participated on a teen innovations panel.

Screenwriting

• Writer at Emerson Independent Video for animated children’s show Bluebins (Fall 2018-Spring 2019).

• Writer of the animated children's musical Rabbits Under The Shed (Winter 2020).

Journalism

• As Managing Editor of her high school student newspaper, Stegner managed a team of ~15 writers, edited and tracked progress of ~40 stories per month. On staff the year Spilled Ink was inducted into Colorado Student Media Association’s hall of fame along with three other high school print news publications.

• Stegner has been hired to write articles for publications including VOYA and HelloGiggles.
